Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine is an enigmatic singer, composer and performer. He combines jazz from the soul genre with R&B to create a unique mixture. Sunshine has performed everywhere from Broadway up to the Democratic National Convention to the European club and festival scenes. Sunshine is the daughter of Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta however, she comes out of Chester Pennsylvania where she began her musical vocation by singing and playing piano in churches. After graduation from Spellman College, Atlanta she began her musical journey on the Atlanta's R&B musical scene. The Fighting Temptations The single featuring her voice, Stalk You A House 12, was only released in Japan. It has been remixed numerous times and it is a mainstay of her live shows. Her voice was also added to the soundtrack of The Fighting Temptations. In 2005, she became the pianist in Tyler Perry's stage show Meet the Browns. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) offered her the position of director of the choral section of Dreamgirls in Atlanta for the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was the subject of national media attention during four daily performances at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
